Hysteria – I think a good event is an event that does not require a lot of people to run it, as long as the quality and quantity can still be accounted for (the level of its popularity). Art exhibition titled “Imagination is Energy” is one of it, only 2 or 3 people who become the backbone of this event. The preparation, collecting works, treatment for the artworks, lay-out / setting the place and others done by relying on the word: “Spirit”. If yo could do it, even if its just 2 of you, just make it possible, dont need to wait other extra member,get it done.
As usual, art event in Semarang always cooperate with Hysteria in providing spaces, Grobak A(r)t Kos, Stonen street / 29 Semarang, once again, be the solution for friends who have been constrained in terms of space rent. Thanks alot for Hysteria!
Here is the explanation for the collective profile: Universum Collective is a place of creativity independent and tried to accommodate the burst of ideas, conception, freedom of expression and appreciation for diverse works of art. The artists of Universum Collective have variaty of perspective and interpretation of each artwork. These conditions will create room for discussion as an educational tool for both fellow artists and art lovers. This diversity will certainly be maintained and developed as a form of appreciation through the artworks that will be exhibited. The cornerstone of “Imagination is Energy” theme is that the artwork was created from the imagination of the artists, so it will produce energy that when processed continually will produce an outstanding artwork. It will also create a personal language as a communication media between artists with art lovers themselves.
This event starts on Friday, May 20th, 2011, which was followed by theatrical performances Tjerobong Paberik from Bandung. The third day of the event is filled by acoustic music, funny huh? A mixture of theater, music, artwork that has a different stream. Many artworks were exhibited at the “Imagination is Energy” (artists from Semarang, Bandung, Jogjakarta, etc.). There are many type arts,such as art of collage (dadaism), painting (surrealism, realism, expressionism), comics, artwork, photography, and some contemporary art (pop art). Its awesome and hopefully this kind of event can be held regularly with different theme (eg exhibition “X” – education theme). Over all, hats off for Riska, Anis, Vivid, and Purna for hardwork and contribution to local young artists, salute [Agung For Tomorrow]
