Hysteria – At first it was an interest. This makes Hysteria choose Attak made an event for it on Grobak A(r)t Kos on April 27th to March 8th 2011. This interest wasn’t triggered because how ‘Punk’ Attak with Roemah Goegah was. It is more likely what Attak run consciously, risky, and chronic consistency for several years. The fact that idioms and slogan that Attak used dominated by punk and how he and his friends feel ‘punk’ to this day was another matter,.
This exhibition contains a summary of Attak activities that he still had documented from 2004-until now. There are photos, t-shirts screen printing, zines, artwork, stencil, emblem and others. Altogether it can be identified as punk icons. However, the most interesting is not Attak’s music ideology. It more abouthow he responses on issues closest to its own social environment. The special case is about his movement in cement plant refusal which is still crowded to this day. When Attak exhibition is held, somehow coincide with the student of sailing academy beating action in Semarang. So, it isn’t surprising when the exhibition was opened and published in the mainstream media (that’s how my punk-friends call it), the news itself tries to counter the violence that happened. This violence is perhaps one proof that punk is still often misunderstood as merely a lifestyle. It is a kind of not-so-cool ideology that practiced by its adherents. The news triggered the pros and cons on Facebook.

As I have previously questioned, what is punk? What it mainsteam? And alot of definitions I happen to ask. It isn’t pretentious but it is a question to see the mindframe of friends. Base on its faith, the action that is taken to react on some issues will be clear. In my opinion, if you want to refer to some of our thinkers and organizers like Hatta, Tan Malaka, Sukarno, Syahrir, Agoes Salim and many others are not only mature in thought / idea but also shrewd in organizing. Hence,i think the theory and practice basis is the unities that need to be studied, tested and if necessary adapted to the context. So, we could see the result, wether a movement was effective or not.

This invitation is mainly to analyses the striking thing about the Anarchy concept. The concept of anarchy itself initiated by some thinkers who saw the country was not much help in community empowerment. Countries often even repress and even benefitsfor owners of capital. Concept of anarchy is derived from the Greek word that means people without country that emphasize the return of the human that be the main control for themselves. Some figures for this concept include Proudhon, William Godwin, Peter Kropotkin etc. Mikhail Bakunin said even harder on the concepts of anarchy. Violence is permitted if it is the only way. The condition where the country is longer exist corresponds to what Marx aspired. Communism became a common goal to restore human beings in times of communal. The country shall be destroyed and eliminated when this state is reached. In the development there are divisions of thought between them. This is related to the belief of communism in the country to usher in a revolution of the proletariat while the viewpoint of anarchism is to abolish the state altogether.
Years have passed and the concept of Marxism has been revised many times to accomodate capitalism that often imagined by some friends as a unified entity and one voice. Until here, I will not widen the theoretical discussion about the anarchy and communism. This short article is only toillustrate that these ideas are conceived and practiced in tandem.
The separation between the ideas and practices sometimes contain a fatal flaw. Well, in today’s context, how far exactly the anarchy concept develops and developed? What if it is practiced in the context of Indonesiannessand even in locality?

Attak is in that interesting spot. He has dared to play at the threshold between punk and hard-line faith in the context of local needs. Moreover, Attak do it consciously.
But more important of it all is the cement issues that were increasingly hot. What can we do to respond it.
